Bactrim (сo-trimoxazole) is a prescription sulpha drug that combines such active ingredients as trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole and can be used for the treatment of a wide array of bacteria-induced infections. This drug is available in the form of a tablet and liquid. The usual dosing schedule involves taking this drug from two to four times daily, depending on the kind of condition you have and how severe it is. Take each dose with a full glass of water. It’s important that you continue taking Bactrim even if your condition improves significantly – the entire amount prescribed must be used, as otherwise a relapse of infection is possible.
